Overprotective Parents

There is a lot of life in this town,
Thousands of people walk past you,
and you don't know a single one of them

They're all going their separate ways
getting on with their lives, so to speak,
and what for? Wouldn't it be interesting,
if you knew what one of them was doing?

Chorus
Then out of the blue you recognise a face,
the eyes, the nose, the mouth.
That person has a name given to them by their overprotective parents

You see somebody that looks familiar
but you really haven't got a clue,
what their name is, or their origin

You stop to speak to them for a moment,
reflecting on activities done in the past,
and soon you walk off, and you're suddenly,
You're suddenly one of those strangers

Chorus
